Who we are
Our website address is: https://humanitysonethought.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When a contributor fills out and purchases a thought entry, their email and credit card information is requested in order to complete the transaction.
Who we share your data with
This information is collected through Stripe, a secure service provider whose software allows us to receive payments via the website. For more information about Stripe, you can visit https://stripe.com/about.
The thought entry form was created using Pabbly, an online form building service. For more information please visit https://www.pabbly.com/form-builder/#faqs.
How long we retain your data
With the aforementioned software, Humanity’s One Thought collects and files each thought entry as well as any of the information that contributors choose to provide in the form. This information will be kept on file for three months after the publication of each volume of Humanity’s One Thought. Once this time period has expired, the credit card information of each contributor in that volume will be deleted from our records.
Thought entry forms will be kept in Humanity’s One Thought’s records indefinitely to ensure the originality of each submission is upheld.
What rights you have over your data
Humanity’s One Thought does not have ownership over the thoughts submitted by contributors. We will not take credit for, alter, or be liable for any thoughts. We hold the right to publish all thoughts in any form and through any medium solely for the use of Humanity’s One Thought. The contributor has the right to any outside interest.
All sales are final.
Where we send your data
Humanity’s One Thought does not share any personal data or financial information with any other parties apart from the necessary interactions with the aforementioned software providers.
Your contact information
Humanity’s One Thought will keep contributor emails on file in order to inform all contributors when the volume in which their thought is published is available for purchase as well as to contact them in the event of any unforeseen complications with their submission, to the best of our ability.
How we protect your data
We make reasonable efforts to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk associated with the processing of personal data. We maintain technical, organizational, and administrative measures designed to protect personal data within our organization against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration or misuse. Your personal data is only accessible to a limited number of personnel who need access to the information to perform their duties. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, so if you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you feel that the security of your account has been compromised), please contact us immediately.
Updates
We may change this privacy policy from time to time to reflect new services, changes in our personal data practices or relevant laws. The “Last Updated” legend at the top of this privacy policy indicates when this privacy policy was last revised. Any changes are effective when we post the revised privacy policy on the Services. We may provide you with disclosures and alerts regarding the privacy policy or personal data collected by posting them on our website and, if you are a contributor, by contacting you through your email address.
