Humanity’s One Thought is dedicated to promoting peace and love to all. Therefore, we exercise the right to refuse any entries that display hate speech, intolerance, or defamation towards any individuals, groups, or organizations.
Before writing your thought, please consider your words carefully and mind the length. Any entries that exceed the letter maximum will be cut off at the limit.
As mentioned on our “About HOT” page, Thought Entries do not have to be anything in particular, just something from you. A favorite memory, a theory, advice, an accomplishment, a poem, a dream, a philosophy, an amazing experience. These are all examples of what your thought can show the world but are not the limits- your thought can be ANYTHING you wish to share with and archive for future generations of humanity.
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a tagline?
- The tagline is an optional mini-bio that will go directly after your thought entry. It can contain up to five distinguishing characteristics to help identify your thought as your own. Any contributor who wishes to remain anonymous may opt not to include a tagline.
- What does the 333 character maximum mean exactly?
- Your thought entry can be composed of 333 letters and symbols. Spaces do not count. So, for example, “Peace!” would take up six out of the 333 characters- five letters and one symbol.
- Can I contribute my favorite quote from someone else as my thought?
- Humanity’s One Thought encourages contributors to enter their own original, unique thought as this is their chance to show the world what they have to offer. However, if one should choose to enter a beloved quote from another person, they may do so as long as they give credit to this source within their 333 characters.
- Why only one thought per volume?
- Due to the scope of this project, we can only accept one entry from each individual per volume so as many different thoughts as possible can be found in the same collection.
